Un des axes principaux de l’action de l’Atelier Vis-à-Vis est la transmission des métiers d’art.
One of the main focuses of Atelier Vis-à-Vis is the transmission of art and craft knowledge.
L’objectif de l’atelier est d’assurer la production des œuvres originales multiples de ses artistes invités en résidence mais aussi de transmettre les savoir-faire liés aux métiers de l’impression d’art ainsi que de préserver le patrimoine matériel et technique.
The aim of the studio is to produce original multiple works by its artists in residence, but also to transmit the skills related to the art of printing and to preserve its material and technical heritage.
Equipement patrimonial – Heritage equipment
L’atelier se dote dès le début, des presses et matériels nécessaires à une autonomie de production. L’ensemble des équipements de fabrication de l’impression d’art et du livre est ainsi accessible aux artistes en résidence, aux stagiaires ainsi qu’aux scolaires. En savoir plus.

From the very beginning, the studio was equipped with the presses and materials needed for independent production. All the equipment necessary to produce fine art prints and artist’s book is available to artists in residence, trainees and schoolchildren.
Résidences d’artiste – Artist in residence
Chaque année, l’Atelier Vis-à-Vis propose de nouvelles résidences d’artiste. Elles aspirent à développer et valoriser l’art contemporain en s’appuyant sur un savoir-faire et une volonté de transmission. L’Atelier Vis-à-Vis accompagne les artistes dans l’analyse de leur pratique et les guide dans leur rapport au multiple. Every year, the Atelier Vis-à-Vis offers new artist in residence. The aim is to develop and enhance contemporary art based on know-how and a desire to transmit knowledge. Atelier Vis-à-Vis supports artists in analysing their practice and guides them in their relationship with the multiple. Its material and technical framework provides a fertile ground for the development of research projects by guest artists.
Formations professionnelles et stages découverte – Professional training courses and workshop
Spécialisé en linogravure, typographie et sérigraphie, l’Atelier Vis-à-Vis dispense des formations professionnelles, stages sur mesure et ateliers scolaires. Organisme de formation professionnelle, l’atelier oeuvre à transmettre les savoir-faire liés aux métiers du livre, de l’image et du papier. Specialising in linocut, letterpress and screen printing, the Atelier Vis-à-Vis offers professional training, tailor-made courses and workshops at schools. As a vocational training organisation, Atelier Vis-à-Vis works to transmit know-how related to the book, image and paper arts. The training provided by Atelier Vis-à-Vis can be financed by Afdas at the trainee’s request.
Ateliers scolaires – Workshops for schools
Dans le cadre des ateliers scolaires, L’Atelier Vis-à-Vis se rend dans de nombreuses classes lors de projets pédagogiques liés à l’approche des métiers d’art, avec une sensibilisation aux différentes techniques d’impression. As part of its educational workshops, Atelier Vis-à-Vis takes part in a large number of school projects focusing on the arts and crafts, and raising awareness of different printing techniques. Atelier Vis-à-Vis is an association with an agreement with the department’s educational initiatives.
